1. Information We Do NOT Collect

The Bloomfield CT App does NOT collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal identification information
• Location data beyond what's necessary for weather
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Device identifiers
• Contact information
• Photos or media
• Browsing history

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device and never sent to us:

• Street Selection: Your chosen street group (A, B, C, or D) for collection schedule
• Street Name: Your street name for personalized collection information
• Preferences: App settings and preferences

This data remains on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.

3. Third-Party Data Sources

The App fetches public information from:

• Supabase: For town alerts, events, news, and agendas (public data only)
• WeatherKit: Apple's weather service for local weather data

These services may have their own privacy policies. We do not send any personal information to these services.

If you add events to your calendar:

• We request permission to access your calendar
• Event data is written directly to your device's calendar
• We do not store or transmit this information

6. Network Requests

The App makes network requests to:

• Fetch public town data (alerts, events, news, agendas)
• Load web content when you open articles or agendas
• Get weather information for Bloomfield, CT

These requests do not include personal information.

7. App Group Data Sharing

The App uses an App Group (group.com.nerdyYawdie.bloomfieldCT) to share data between:

• The main app
• Widgets
• App Intents (Siri)

This data sharing happens entirely on your device and includes only:

• Latest alert title (for widget display)
• Your street group selection

8. No Advertising or Tracking

The App does NOT include:

• Advertising networks
• Analytics or tracking SDKs
• Crash reporting services that collect data
• Social media tracking pixels

9. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The App is designed for Bloomfield, CT residents of all ages and does not collect personal information from any users.

10. Your Rights

Since we don't collect your data, there's nothing to:

• Request access to
• Request deletion of
• Opt-out from

Simply uninstall the App to remove all locally stored preferences.

Since no personal data is collected or transmitted to our servers, there is no risk of your personal information being compromised through our App.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
