Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Jamaica Food AI or Jamaica Food Recipes ("the Apps"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Apps.

These Terms apply to all users of both apps, including visitors, registered users (iPhone), and Pro subscribers (iPhone).

Description of Services

Jamaica Food AI iPhone

A mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to identify Jamaican dishes from photos, provide nutritional estimates, offer curated Jamaican recipes, and support a community feed for sharing meals.

Jamaica Food Recipes Apple TV

A free Apple TV application for browsing authentic Jamaican recipes, exploring Jamaican food history, and saving favorite dishes. The Apple TV app does not include food scanning, calorie tracking, accounts, or community features.

      Nutritional information provided by either app is an estimate only and should not be used as a substitute for professional dietary or medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for guidance on your specific dietary needs.
    

User Accounts iPhone only

You may use certain features of Jamaica Food AI without an account. To access scan history, community features, and Apple Health integration, you must sign in with Apple.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

      Jamaica Food Recipes (Apple TV) does not require or support user accounts. All data is stored locally on your device.
    

Free vs. Pro Subscription iPhone only

Jamaica Food AI offers a free tier with limited daily scans and a Pro subscription with additional features including full macro tracking, unlimited scans, recipe saving, and community posting.

Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms.
Pro subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.

      Jamaica Food Recipes (Apple TV) is completely free with no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
    

User-Generated Content iPhone only

Pro users may post photos and captions to the community feed. By posting content, you grant DiNerd Apps a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display that content within the App.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. You agree not to post content that:

Is false, misleading, or deceptive
Is offensive, harassing, or hateful
Infringes any third-party intellectual property rights
Contains spam, advertisements, or malware
Violates any applicable law or regulation

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend any user that violates these guidelines.

Jamaica Food Recipes (Apple TV) does not support user-generated content.

Intellectual Property

All content in the Apps — including the AI models, recipe data, design, graphics, history content, and branding — is owned by or licensed to DiNerd Apps. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any App content without express written permission.

The Jamaica Food AI and Jamaica Food Recipes names, logos, and associated marks are trademarks of DiNerd Apps.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from either app
Use either app to scrape data or for any automated commercial purpose
Circumvent any security, subscription, or rate-limiting features
Impersonate any person or entity
Interfere with the apps' servers, infrastructure, or other users' experience

Disclaimers

The Apps are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:

That AI-generated nutritional estimates are accurate or complete (iPhone app)
That either app will be uninterrupted or error-free
That any specific dish will be correctly identified (iPhone app)
That recipe images sourced from Pexels will always be available or accurate representations of the dish

Use the nutritional data in the iPhone app as a general guide, not a medical or dietary prescription.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DiNerd Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of either app, including but not limited to health decisions made based on nutritional estimates provided by the iPhone app.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica and applicable international law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the relevant jurisdiction.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the apps or by updating the effective date above. Your continued use of either app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
