Terms of Use
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the NYC Parking Violations iOS application ("App") developed by Di Nerd Apps LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App and the associated website. We may update these Terms at any time; continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
License to Use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on an Apple-branded device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the App
- Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or transfer the App or your rights to use it
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Systematically scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the App or its underlying APIs
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or related systems
Data Accuracy Disclaimer
Important: All parking violation data displayed in the App is sourced directly from the NYC Open Data portal (a public government dataset). We do not own, create, edit, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data.
Violation records may be delayed, incomplete, or contain errors as maintained by the City of New York. The App is provided as an informational tool only. Do not rely solely on this App to determine whether a ticket has been paid, dismissed, or adjudicated. Always verify critical information directly with the NYC Department of Finance.
Pro Subscription
The App offers an optional auto-renewing Pro subscription ("Pro") that removes advertisements and unlocks additional features including AI Ticket Analysis and Violation Stats.
- Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via the App Store
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Settings
- No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period
- Prices are subject to change; you will be notified before any price changes take effect
- Free trial periods (if offered) will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled
Manage Subscription
To cancel: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → NYC Parking Violations → Cancel Subscription.
Advertising
The free version of the App includes advertisements served by Google AdMob. By using the free version, you consent to the display of these advertisements. Subscribing to Pro removes all ads. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements displayed in the App.
Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and features (excluding the NYC Open Data content), is owned by Di Nerd Apps LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The NYC Open Data content is provided by the City of New York under the NYC Terms of Use.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the App:
- To stalk, harass, or monitor individuals without their knowledge or consent
- To violate any applicable federal, state, or local laws or regulations
- To transmit any malware, viruses, or harmful code
- To impersonate any person or entity
- To engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the App
- For any commercial purpose without our prior written consent
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. DI NERD APPS LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF VIRUSES.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DI NERD APPS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO RELIANCE ON INACCURATE VIOLATION DATA, MISSED PAYMENT DEADLINES, OR LOSS OF DATA.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Third-Party Services & Links
The App may link to or integrate third-party services (NYC CityPay, NYC Open Data, Google, Apple). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of New York.
Apple App Store Terms
Your use of the App is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions . In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's standard EULA, these Terms shall control to the extent permitted by Apple's guidelines.
