By downloading or using US Debt, you agree to these terms. Please read them. They're straightforward.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the US Debt application ("App") for Apple TV, developed and published by DiNerdyYawdie ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Use of the App
The App is provided for personal, non-commercial informational purposes only. You may use the App to view publicly available U.S. national debt data on your Apple TV device.
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to extract or scrape data from the App programmatically
- Redistribute or resell the App or its content
3. Data Accuracy and Disclaimer
The App displays U.S. national debt figures sourced from the U.S. Department of the Treasury Fiscal Data API, a public government data source. While we make every effort to display this data accurately, we make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of the information displayed.
Specifically:
- The live ticking counter is an estimate extrapolated from historical Treasury data. It is not a real-time feed from the U.S. Treasury.
- Static reference figures (GDP, population, taxpayer count, etc.) are periodically reviewed estimates and may not reflect the most current available data.
- Treasury data is typically updated on business days and may lag behind the actual debt by one or more days.
The App is intended for educational and informational purposes. It should not be used as the sole basis for financial, legal, or policy decisions.
4. In-App Purchases
The App offers optional one-time tip purchases ("Tip Jar") via Apple's App Store. All purchases are:
- Non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or Apple's own refund policy
- Processed and governed entirely by Apple's Terms of Service
- Voluntary — no features are gated behind a purchase
Tips support ongoing development of the App. By making a tip purchase, you acknowledge that you are making a voluntary contribution and are not purchasing access to specific features, content, or services beyond what is already provided in the App.

5. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and branding, is the intellectual property of DiNerdyYawdie. All rights are reserved.
The debt data displayed in the App is sourced from the U.S. Treasury Fiscal Data API, which is a public domain U.S. government dataset. We make no copyright claim over that underlying data.
6. No Political Affiliation
US Debt is a non-partisan informational tool. The App presents official government data without editorial commentary, political advocacy, or recommendations regarding fiscal policy. Inclusion of presidential term comparisons is for historical context only and does not constitute an endorsement or criticism of any political party or individual.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DiNerdyYawdie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including but not limited to reliance on data displayed in the App.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
8. Third-Party Services
The App connects to the U.S. Treasury Fiscal Data API to retrieve data. Your use of the App is subject to the availability and terms of that service, which is outside our control. We are not responsible for any interruption, inaccuracy, or discontinuation of that government API.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple Inc. Your use of the App Store is subject to Apple's Terms of Service.
9. Updates and Availability
We may update, modify, or discontinue the App at any time without notice. We are not obligated to provide updates, maintain compatibility with future versions of tvOS, or continue operating the App indefinitely.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
